If you are not sure about what you want to do after high school, taking the ASVAB test may be for you. The ASVAB test is available for juniors and seniors.

Senior Vanessa Garcia and junior Sabrina Martinez both took the ASVAB test. They both plan on being in the military.

“This test is for anybody that wants to join the military, It tests you on your general knowledge of things like science and math,” Garcia said.

The ASVAB test took place Nov. 14 at 7:45 a.m. and it ended at 11:45 a.m. This test is also free so you do not have to pay any fees if you're interested in the future.

The test is  important to people that want to join the military because it determines if you qualify to join the military and other branches.

“I felt like it would help me to know what I could be placed in,” Martinez said.

It is good for them to see what possibilities they have in their future. Students can also see that the military is an option after taking this test.

“I feel like it would be something different in my family,” Martinez said.

Another good thing about the ASVAB test is when you get your results you can see what you need to improve to be a part of the military.

“It basically helps you figure out what career you want to do or what career you would be right for in the military,” Garcia said.
